Meet The Team
Jason Jean has been helping clients purchase homes and save money with refinances since 2005. He graduated from the University of MA, Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2001, and became a high school math and science teacher, as well as a coach. In 2005 he decided to leave teaching and took his passion for helping others into the field of mortgages. Since then he has helped thousands of people buy homes or refinance. Too busy to do it all on his own, he started The Jean Group 2014. Since then, The Jean Group has been a team of mortgage loan officers serving the lending needs of home owners and home buyers in Massachusetts & Connecticut. The hands-on approach helps every client understand the mortgage process while feeling like they are right by their side each step of the way.
Just recently Jason and his team have joined forces with Academy Mortgage Corporation on Main Street in Agawam to combine the values and service they’ve brought to their clients for years with Academy’s streamlined, efficient operations and a variety of new available loan programs! Academy’s commitment to excellence and focus on customer service are the reasons The Jean Group has made the decision to partner with them. It’s pretty much a match made in Heaven.
In his spare time, Jason cherishes the time he spends with his family and most likely if he isn’t working, he’s with them. He enjoys getting outdoor and away from technologies, experiencing nature and being simplistic.
Jason has one of the best names in the biz – Jason. He first started his real estate career in 2006 as a commercial realtor, assisting business owners and entrepreneurs buy, lease, and sell commercial real estate. After a stint working for the city and helping kids mature into adults in Springfield, his passion found himself back in the real estate world assisting with mortgage transactions. This was something that drove Jason to excellence and, after earning his mortgage originator’s license, he joined The Jean Group and has been with them ever since. Jason embodies The Jean Group spirit and is a valuable asset to the team and its success.
In Jason’s spare time, he enjoys taking his daughter to the learn-to-skate on Sundays at Olympia Ice Rink in West Springfield, and coaches multiple youth hockeyteams including Pope Francis high school which is formerly known as Cathedral.
Mike joined The Jean Group in 2018. He graduated from UCONN in 2008 with a B.A. in Psychology. After briefly exploring the life insurance business, Mike began his career as a lender at a credit union. He quickly worked his way up to Loan Manager. After his 8-year tenure, Mike realized the limitations credit unions have and his desire to be able to help a wider spectrum of clients caused him to look for alternative solutions. He found The Jean Group and it was an instant match. Mike brings great knowledge of the industry paired with great customer service. He is eager to walk you through the mortgage process and get you into your dream home or refinance clients who wish to save more money!!!
Kimberly “I Do Everything” Fagone joined The Jean Group as the administrative assistant, but she’s become more than that. To making sure Jason Jean is doing what he’s supposed to be doing, to organizing the zillion documents that come in, to ensuring the loan officers’ loan files are orderly and complete, she really does a little bit of everything. She is a very self-driven and focused individual who doesn’t need oversight to be productive and accomplishes an unbelievable amount of tasks per day. Jason Jean once said “Kim is the superstar on our team and without her we’d be in trouble”. The only reason we didn’t want to put this on our website is because we don’t want anyone else to snatch her up. She’s that good.
In her spare time, Kim likes to be pampered by her super-awesome husband Marty who doesn’t do it enough. They do have a tough time keeping up with their five children and balancing work and family. But I think their kids agree that they do a great job and are the best parents ever! Some day Kim is going to take a break and relax. But for now – she’s too busy working on getting your loan closed!!!
